ABC’s of Salvation
A – Acknowledge Your Condition
You and I constantly miss the mark of God. Sometimes we do this on purpose and sometimes we do it by simply not knowing any better. Missing the mark of God is called sin. The Word of God tells us in Romans 3:10 As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. It also says in Roman 3:23 says For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Then, in Romans 6:23 the Word of God tells us that there is a cost to our sin; For the wages of sin is death. This word death references spiritual separation from God forever. Hebrews 9:27 says, And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Would you acknowledge to God and yourself that you are a sinner too? Would you acknowledge that there is a cost to sin that, without Christ, will separate us from God forever?
B-Believe Christ Bled, Died and Rose Again for you
Romans 5:8 says, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. You see, if you and I could earn our way to heaven with religion or good works, then Christ would never have needed to come. But, because you and I miss the mark and could never correct that on our own, God had to send His Son Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin, present His sinless life to be sacrificed, bleed his blood to cover our sin and rise again. You are familiar with the holiday’s of Christmas and Easter? Christmas celebrates the Saviour’s coming and Easter celebrates His rising! Believe that Christ did that for you! Christ bled and gave up His life and rose again for your sin and for mine.
C-Call Upon Christ for yourself
Rom 10:9-13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You can have Salvation yourself! Would you trust Christ? Would you trust Who He is? Would you call out to Him in your acknowledgement of sin and cost and ask Him to save you?
Place your faith and trust in Christ today. Accept that you’re not able to save yourself. Accept that there is no other way outside of Christ to reach the Father The book of John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Ask Christ into your heart like this,
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner and that there is a cost to my sin that I cannot afford. I believe that Christ bled, died and rose again just for me. I place my faith and trust in your son Jesus Christ today. Please forgive me for my sins by the blood of Christ. In Jesus I trust and ask this. Amen.”
Reassure yourself of Salvation in the Word of God from 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. God would not extend an offer nor a promise that He could not keep. The Book of Titus 1:2 says, In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; If you’ve trusted Christ and called on Him to save you, He’s done it for sure!
